No injury that can't be insulted.

Just when you think that turning 75 is bad enough, your Driver's Licence renewal requires a full medical examination by your GP. And if your GP has OCD, he actually does one. And if this test shows a bit of elevation of serum protein, he sends you off to a haematologist. And if the haematologist also has OCD, he actually takes it seriously. And the next thing the haematologist decides is that because your Igm paraprotein is too high, he wants to rule out myeloma and lymphoma. And next thing I wonder if he's working for (spit!) a private medical company, And next thing I find out he fucking-well is. And next thing is that he makes an appointment for a CT, MRI, skeletal survey and guided biopsy. And next thing I've got to fork out my hard-earned to the private medical company for the CT's, MRI's, PET's, guided biopsies. And next thing the results start coming in. And next thing is they're not looking so good. All this for a bloody Driver'slicence! Conclusions: 1: Driving is definitely bad for your health. 2: I should have stuck with my push bike. 3: Things start getting serious soon. 4: I hope the nurses are pretty.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear this. It's a lot to deal with.
For whatever it's worth, good luck and best wishes from half a world away.

Thanks H.
I start chemo in a few weeks.
And if Yul Brynner could pull the birds, I reckon I'm in with a chance with that cute little redhead in reception.
