The Curse of Perfectionism

To my unbelievably tolerant loyal readers:
(Hi Mum, Hi H.)

I apologise for the apparently random disappearance and reappearance of my contributions to Blogger.

My medical specialist qualification is a clinical one. Hence my knowlege of psychiatric disorders is limited to what I am able to recall from my occasional reluctant appearances as an undergraduate medical student to the minimum number of lectures and tutorials necessary in that specialty to pass my exams.

Bugger all, in other words.

But my view is that perfectionism and indecision are the Felix and Oscar of the psychological milieu.

Perfectionism demands the obliteration of any action judged as suboptimal. Indecision leads to impulsive judgements followed by remorse.

Remorse is followed by attempts to reverse the impulsive  decisions.

Hence, the random deletion and reappearance of what were, after all that, pretty mediocre blogger posts.

Sorry.
