Paradise is No Other People.

My lovely wife and I live in a tiny seaside village with a permanent population of about 190.

Our street, with only 3 permanent residents, faces the blue Coral Sea, and even in normal times (ie pre-Covid 29), is free from traffic apart from the occasional weekend tourist, who usually executes a rapid u-turn and retreats.

But now, with police enforcing non-essential travel, there is no traffic at all.

JeanPaul Sartre got it right.

Sounds and looks beautiful.
I pretend I'm standing there with you, looking out in silence at the distant horizon.
Eventually, you ask me to leave -
but I don't.
